When I met myself

I was feeling doomed, dreary and dejected;

When I had this rendezvous with an old friend.

It would be a beautiful journey, said she,

though a little challenging and long;

I invite you with open arms to join me,

Just tell me, would you come along?

At times you may feel weak and tired

Just keep in mind, you have to keep going

Just have faith in yourself, she went on,

And see your strength growing.

I liked what she said and also had a silent

admiration for her optimism.

All this time I wondered ;

what took me so long to meet the real “me”…

Just that I am away from home...

How excited I am ,my eyes filled with dreams;

My heart’s pounding fast, with emotions extreme.

There’s a whole new world waiting for me with open arms,

New life, new place, sparkling future with all its charm..

I almost have got everything that I ever had wished,then

why’s there this barrenness, what is it that I missed?

Sometimes I find myself so lonesome amid this crowd,

sometimes my eyes are moist, and I feel like crying out loud.

Now a part of this glittery world, I miss the haven that was so warm,

I do have a lot in life, it’s just that I am away from home…..

Faith

Whenever we start loosing hopes,

all we need is to have faith -

Have faith in our own goodness and,

have faith in the God within.

Have faith in our self-efforts and,

have faith in His grace and bessings.

Have faith in our love for Him and,

have faith in His love for us.

Have faith that world outside you is beautiful if,

world inside you is beautiful !!

Silence

There is something very profound about silence .

However, we may try to experience silence.

When we watch a serene, tranquil lake,

What we see is silence .

When we watch steady , tall trees,

What we see is silence .

When we hear the waves of sea roar,

between two roars, what we hear is silence.

When we see the sunrise and sunset,

What we feel is silence.

When we see a child in deep sleep,

What we experience is silence.

We may give different names to this feeling –

Peace, poise, stillness, serenity or silence.

If we learn to savour the moments filled with silence,

we can experience in them, life’s very essence.

That’s life..

When we say it is simple,

It says – not as simple as you think .

When we say it is difficult,

It says – not as difficult as you think .

When we say it is beautiful,

Giving a healthy challenge, it says – are you sure?

When we say it is pathetic,

Making things easier, it says- chill dear!

When we say we know it well,

It will confuse us and say – you bet!

When we say-has anyone understood you still?

It will comfort you saying-someday maybe you will .

That’s life –

I am not sure I know it,

But I sure do love it…

If you promise

I would like to feel sad,

If you promise to cheer me up.

I would love to shed tears,

If you promise to console me.

I would love to get scared,

If you promise to hold my hand.

I would love to feel low,

If you promise to give me a hug.

I would love to act like a fool,

If you promise to laugh with me.

I would love to walk a thousand miles,

If you promise to walk with me.

I would love this beautiful life even more,

If you promise to spend yours with me.
