Dream
Last night, this dream I had,What can I say, it really was bad.In a cold, dark room,I was trapped,I couldn’t move freely, as I was strapped.I cried for help and on the door I banged,But noone listened, I felt noone cared. As I sat alone, feeling dejected and rejected,With a loving touch on my back I was soothed. It was then, that I was awake and relieved,The dream was over, a lesson I had perceived.I realised that by negative emotions I was confined,By anger, pride, desire and envy I was bound. You have shown me the way, and I feel graced,To win over my inner enemies is the choice I have made. I am grateful-it was a blessing in disguise I had received.

Sandcastle
I had always believed,
that dreams are like sandcastles-
Both of these, very shortlived.
I have feared this always,
that gigantic waves of reality,
will shove my dreams away.
Untill I saw a kid, lovely and agile,
was so happy building his sandcastle,
not fearing that it is so fragile.
That’s when I learnt not to be attached.
The way of life, actually,
is to learn to be detached.
I have to leave behind my vanity,
And just cherish every moment,
I guess doing so , is sanity.
